Festival Style!

I don't know about you, but as soon as the temperature starts rising and the bird start chirping, all I can think about is dreamy summer Bohemian magic. I'm talking music festivals, campfires, star gazing, trailrides, trips to the beach, bike rides, and all the things that make summer the slow, warm wave of heat and light that it is.

I have been seeing Coachella posts left and right, and getting extremely pumped for the music festivals I have lined up in my calendar for this summer. Now, if you are a trendy 20-something gal, you're obviously going to be fretting on what to WEAR to these fantastic events, and looking for inspiration all over Pinterest, and the Free People or UO blogs. Sam and I love sniffing around various places for inspiration, so we decided to take some time to style some festival appropriate outfits to GIVE some inspiration! Here are some festival worthy styles that we adore!

As I have mentioned before (probably numerous times...), I LOVE strappy back things this summer! Be it stretchy straps or lace backs, I am just crushin' hard on this style. Perfect for the summer heat! I love me a good open back shirt and some strappy back something.

Here, Sam has paired some dark-wash distressed shorts with an ombre dyed tee (that I may have made a day before this shoot.....) and a lace-back bra and everyone's new current favorite thing, a large brimmed floppy felt hat! Something I love about boho style is that it can be pretty simple, but it only takes a couple unique items to really make it pop. I relly am one for simplicity and basics. I think wearing basics well can make your style look effortless.

Now, I shouldn't say that I am all about keeping it simple. While I usually stick to basic items (mostly in black or gray), I make up for it with my jewelry obsession. I mean, I make jewelry, so I have a TON of it at my house just waiting to taken for a night on the town. This spring I am crushing hard on raw stones with crushed Pyrite. Also, I've always been a gold kinda girl, but lately I have been making and picking up silver pieces, like this chain headpiece! Which leads me to my next festival style point: UNIQUE HEAD JEWELRY. Sam and I both have our eyes set on creating some original pieces for our respective Etsy brands. We are smitten kittens.

Basically, we just had a blast playing with some of the cool trends this season, and taking some photos by the river. We are beyond excited for SUMMER and festival season, and can't wait to see what y'all are going to rock this summer.
